Comprehensive Healing for the Immigrant Experience

This support group at Shakti Therapy goes beyond traditional talk therapy. We integrate trauma-informed clinical care with culturally attuned peer support, addressing the interconnectedness of your mind, body, and community to foster deep, lasting safety.

Mind

We focus on uncovering and transforming the hypervigilance, anxiety, and PTSD patterns created by systemic fear and legal limbo.

Body

Our somatic practices and grounding techniques help release the survival energy (fight/flight/freeze) stored in your nervous system after facing enforcement threats.

Spirit

Through shared stories and kindred connection, we guide you in breaking the isolation of the immigrant experience. By tapping into collective resilience, you reclaim your power and identity.

Meet Your Group Facilitators

You have been carrying the invisible weight of the system for too long." Society tells immigrant communities that survival is strength, but living in chronic fear of enforcement isn't resilience; it's exhaustion.

Our goal in this 4-week circle isn't just to help you 'manage' your stress. It is to help you put down the hypervigilance you've been carrying so you can finally feel safe in your own body. Let's reclaim your joy, not just your survival skills.
