Connected by Culture

Facilitated by Miranda Ordoñez, APCC · Bilingual (Spanish/Spanglish) · Latinx therapis

Diverse Hispanic adults sitting together in a cozy therapy group circle, sharing stories and connection in a warm lavender-toned room with plants, woven textiles, and natural light.

You've carried your culture your whole

The language, the expectations, the resilience, the weight of it all. This four-week group is a space to reflect on what your Hispanic culture has given you, what it has asked of you, and what you choose to carry forward, alongside people who understand.

Celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month, Connected by Culture is facilitated by Miranda Ordoñez, APCC, a bilingual (Spanish/Spanglish), Latinx therapist. The group blends modern therapeutic tools with ancestral connection and community-based support, grounded in the SHAKTI framework: Safety, Healing, Acknowledgement, Kindred Connection, Transformation, and Integration.

Why this group exists for you

Rooted in Shakti’s SHAKTI framework, this group isn’t a workshop and it isn’t a lecture. It’s four weeks of somatic tools, open processing, breathwork, psychoeducation, and collective healing, facilitated by a therapist who understands the culture firsthand.

What you'll work on

  • Explore the experiences that shape our cultural identity and sense of belonging
  • Reflect on family, traditions, values, and community connections
  • Identify the cultural strengths and personal values that support your well-being
  • Build real connection through storytelling and shared experience with people who get it

Miranda Ordoñez, APCC

Bilingual (Spanish/Spanglish) · Trauma-informed · Latinx therapist

Miranda is a Spanish-speaking Latinx therapist specializing in trauma, identity, and first-generation experience. Sessions can move fluidly between English, Spanish, or Spanglish, whatever lets you say what you actually mean.

She holds this group with the same standard she brings to her individual work: compassion paired with accountability, and cultural understanding that doesn’t require you to explain yourself first.
