Compassion, Humility, Empowerment, Cultural Sensitivity
A Bit About Dipika
Hi, I’m Dipika! I’m a South Asian Therapist based here in my hometown of Los Angeles. My lived experience growing up in both Indian/Desi and American cultures has shaped my understanding of the complex interplay between identity, cultural expectations, and mental health. This background fuels my passion for helping you navigate your own cultural narratives while fostering self-acceptance and resilience.
My therapeutic approach draws from Eastern philosophies, viewing mental health struggles as invitations for growth, deeper self-understanding, and the evolution of one’s consciousness. While our society tends to pathologize these struggles and label them as illnesses, I view them as manifestations of disconnection from ourselves and communities- and signs of disharmony between mind, body, and spirit. You may be conditioned to seek healing outside of yourself, whether through relationships, ego attachments, or substances. However, as a person of color Therapist, I believe that you cannot resolve internal issues with external solutions.
Each of you carries the wisdom and guidance you need within; it’s simply a matter of quieting the
external noise to reconnect with your true, divine self.

Through this process, you can become aware of how your thoughts, beliefs, and actions shape your reality, empowering you to consciously create the life you desire.

In your journey of self-discovery, I will support you in activating your Shakti- your divine healing intelligence. As your Shakti awakens, you will reclaim your power and find a renewed sense of purpose and clarity, empowering you to navigate life with confidence and grace. This transformative process will help you release limiting beliefs and connect deeply with your intuition.

My holistic approach emphasizes nervous system regulation and the mind-body-spirit connection. I incorporate techniques from/influenced by Eastern practices such as yogic breathing techniques, somatic movement, and Emotional Freedom Technique (AKA tapping) alongside Western modalities such as Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Narrative Therapy. This holistic approach allows me to address my clients’ needs from multiple perspectives for a more comprehensive therapeutic experience. I also enjoy employing unconventional methods like laughter yoga and primal therapy (AKA scream therapy). I like to encourage my clients to get comfortable with being uncomfortable!
